<span style="font-style: italic;">TheStreet.com's Jim Cramer says tons of stocks look like good buys, and they go down all the time. </span><br /> <br /> All weekend I heard it. Stocks have gotten too cheap. Put 'em away cheap. Don't worry about 'em cheap. To which I say, stocks are only cheap if the companies make it. Stocks are only cheap if the bondholders don't claim them. <br /><br /> Every day I see cheap stocks. <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/ford-motor-company/f/nys">Ford</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/ford-motor-company/f/nys">F</a>) (<a target="blank" href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=F">Cramer's Take</a>) reported this morning. Ridiculously cheap. How cheap is <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/sprint-nextel-corporation/s/nys">Sprint</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/sprint-nextel-corporation/s/nys">S</a>) (<a target="blank" href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=S">Cramer's Take</a>), for heaven's sake? Did you see the <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/sunrise-senior-living-inc/srz/nys">Sunrise Senior Living</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/sunrise-senior-living-inc/srz/nys">SRZ</a>) (<a target="blank" href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=SRZ">Cramer's Take</a>) numbers? That stock should show up when you enter "cheap stock" in Google. Except <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/las-vegas-sands-corp/lvs/nys">Las Vegas Sands</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/las-vegas-sands-corp/lvs/nys">LVS</a>) (<a target="blank" href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=LVS">Cramer's Take</a>) comes up. <br /><br /> When Warren Buffett says stocks are cheap, or Jeremy Grantham or Steve Leuthold or Jeremy Siegel, it's very heartening. You just want to go out there and buy cheap stocks like <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/cbs-corporation/cbs/nys">CBS</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/cbs-corporation/cbs/nys">CBS</a>) (<a target="blank" href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=CBS">Cramer's Take</a>) and <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/williams-sonoma-inc/wsm/nys">Williams-Sonoma</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/williams-sonoma-inc/wsm/nys">WSM</a>) (<a target="blank" href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=WSM">Cramer's Take</a>) and <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/anntaylor-stores-corporation/ann/nys">Ann Taylor</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/anntaylor-stores-corporation/ann/nys">ANN</a>) (<a target="blank" href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=ANN">Cramer's Take</a>) and <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/the-talbots-inc/tlb/nys">Talbots</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/the-talbots-inc/tlb/nys">TLB</a>) (<a target="blank" href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=TLB">Cramer's Take</a>).<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2008/11/10/cramer-on-bloggingstocks-cheap-is-meaningless/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Cramer on BloggingStocks: 'Cheap' is meaningless </em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2008/11/10/cramer-on-bloggingstocks-cheap-is-meaningless/">Cramer on BloggingStocks: 'Cheap' is meaningless </a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Mon, 10 Nov 2008 09:55:00 EST. Further, due to the fact that air traffic growth should outpace global GDP growth in the immediate years ahead, aircraft leasing represents an opportunity, and in this category Genesis Lease is worth a review.<br /><br /><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/genesis-lease-limited/gls/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">Genesis Lease</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/genesis-lease-limited/gls/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">GLS</a>) is an aircraft-leasing company with worldwide operations and a blue chip list of customers. <p>Continuing that theme, <a href="http://www.thestockadvisors.com/ccount/click.php?id=1701">Nick Lanyi</a> suggests, "<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/genesis-lease-limited/gls/nys">Genesis Lease Ltd.</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/genesis-lease-limited/gls/nys">GLS</a>) is an Irish-based aircraft-leasing company that is benefiting from a global boom in demand for commercial airplanes -- even as the U.S. economy slows."</p>
<p>The editor of <a href="http://www.thestockadvisors.com/ccount/click.php?id=1701">High-Yield International</a> states, "Airlines increasingly lease a portion of their aircraft fleet, rather than owning them." Here's look at a company with a double-digit dividend yield that is benefiting from this trend.</p>
<p>"Airplanes are very expensive, and they need to be replaced every few years. Especially for smaller airlines, it makes more financial sense to pay a regular monthly fee as part of a long-term lease than to shell out the money to buy an airplane. </p>
<p>"In addition, the leasing company is responsible for maintaining the plane -- relieving the airline of the need to recruit, retain and pay for a maintenance staff. Also, demand for air travel fluctuates over time, and leases give airlines more ability to limit excess capacity. </p>
<p>"Aircraft leasing is in a strong long-term growth trend. There are currently about 18,000 commercial aircraft operating worldwide, and that number is expected to double over the next 20-25 years. Why? Because China, India, Brazil, Russia and other emerging markets are growing so rapidly. As economies expand, so does airline traffic.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2008/01/30/genesis-leasing-gls-growth-and-income-from-aircraft-leasing/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Genesis Leasing (GLS): Growth &amp; income from aircraft leasing</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2008/01/30/genesis-leasing-gls-growth-and-income-from-aircraft-leasing/">Genesis Leasing (GLS): Growth &amp; income from aircraft leasing</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Wed, 30 Jan 2008 14:43:00 EST. The averages are at or are close to hitting new highs and we haven't heard of any funds about to go belly-up. The only ones that would fail, I believe, would be short funds. <br /><br />I bring up this sore but positive topic because when things were really bad at the end of August yet redemptions hadn't overwhelmed the market, we figured it might just be a September phenomenon. Making things a little more likely, too, were the funds that were exposed to all of these exotic instruments based on mortgages. <br /><br />So far it looks like the huge hedge fund redemptions and failures aren't going to happen, perhaps courtesy of the Fed's rate cuts that now do seem to have bailed out a lot of managers who have made wrong moves. That's the "moral hazard" that everyone was fretting about so much before the Fed acted. <br /><br />But I think that instead, you should let this memory of "redemption worry" be a reminder of the phantoms that freak people out and make them leave the market at what now represents 1,000 points on the Dow. <br /><br />Oddly, there are still some stocks that seem pressured down more by fear than by fundamentals. <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/genesis-lease-limited/gls/nys">Genesis Lease</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/genesis-lease-limited/gls/nys">GLS</a>) (<a target="blank" href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=GLS">Cramer's Take</a>) and <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/aircastle-ltd-cmn-st/ayr/nys">Aircastle</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/aircastle-ltd-cmn-st/ayr/nys">AYR</a>) (<a href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=AYR" target="blank">Cramer's Take</a>) both have terrific yields, a function of the decline in the stocks of aircraft lessors. Some of these are owned from hedge funds believed to be struggling. The other is <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/enterprise-products-partners-l-p/epd/nys">Enterprise Product Partners</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/enterprise-products-partners-l-p/epd/nys">EPD</a>) (<a target="blank" href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=EPD">Cramer's Take</a>), also with a good yield, that is in the energy transport business. <br /><br />Neither industry is hurting but the stocks had some really weak hedge fund hands as shareholders. <br /><br />These could be payoffs from the distressed period and redemption fears that drove them down. <br /><br />RELATED LINKS:

<p>But what about oil?<br />But what about the dollar?<br />Is it enough?<br />Is it too much because of inflation?<br />Are they behind the curve?<br />Is it wrong that hedge funds get bailed out?<br /> </p>
<p>I have no objections to any boilerplate questions about the Fed and its <a target="blank" href="http://www.thestreet.com/s/feds-nifty-fifty-fuels-wall-street/markets/marketfeatures/10380109.html?puc=_tscs">rate cuts</a>. They make sense. I do, however, occasionally want to suspend suspicion and cynicism and even, yes, skepticism, for the moment after something as monumental as yesterday's half-point cut. </p>
<p>I say that because sometimes my job conflicts with the need to be the skeptical reporter. That's because there's an overriding need on this site and in what I do for a living, which is try to make people money. </p>
<p>People want to know how the market will react, they want to know if it is time to buy, or too late to buy, or okay to buy, or good to sell. Those questions are obfuscators. They are theoretical. They get in the way of making money, and if answered incorrectly, they block the chance for making money. </p>
<p>Of course all of those issues are concerns, chiefly oil. It's not "good" that oil is going higher, even though to anyone with a car, it is obvious that it hasn't filtered through. I paid $2.60 yesterday, a dollar lower than I would think I would have had to pay given the price of crude. Weak dollar, possible inflation flare-up -- all bad. </p>
<p>But the simple answer is that things were not right going into the meeting. Big things. You shouldn't have T-bills so high when the 10-year is so low. That's 105 degrees on the thermometer. Those who fought 50 basis points, thinking it is too much, that it means panic, are the same people who would deny children antibiotics lest they scare the parents! It's all nonsense. Retail, autos and banks are real economy sectors, and everyone knew they were hurting. </p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/09/19/cramer-on-bloggingstocks-the-cut-has-changed-the-market/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Cramer on BloggingStocks: The cut has changed the market</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/09/19/cramer-on-bloggingstocks-the-cut-has-changed-the-market/">Cramer on BloggingStocks: The cut has changed the market</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Wed, 19 Sep 2007 10:10:00 EST.
