    <li>Credit Suisse upgraded CF Industries (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/cf-industries-holdings-inc/cf/nys" class="inlinked">CF</a>) to outperform from neutral, citing favorable fundamentals in nitrogen and phosphate markets.</li>
    <li>Canadian Solar (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/canadian-solar-inc-common-shares/csiq/nas" class="inlinked">CSIQ</a>) was raised to buy from hold by Jefferies, which cited expectations for higher selling prices next year and cost savings from sourcing more components internally.</li>
    <li>BMO Capital upgraded RC2 Corp. (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/rc2-corporation/rcrc/nas" class="inlinked">RCRC</a>) to outperform from market perform as the firm believes that RC2's baby products are performing better than previously expected.</li>
    <li>Ericsson (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/lm-ericsson-telephone-company-american-depositary-shares/eric/nas" class="inlinked">ERIC</a>) was upgraded to neutral from underperform at BofA/Merril.</li>
    <li>ProLogis (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/prologis/pld/nys" class="inlinked">PLD</a>) was upgraded to buy from hold at Stifel Nicolaus.</li>

Citi believes PPL's earnings power from the Pennsylvania regulated utility market is being underappreciated. Target is $35. </li>

The Q4 GDP data was even far worse than the revision estimates. While there is very little good news on the headlines, it does seem as though buyers are starting to nibble on positions. The end of day drop today looks like it was an index rebalance issue for month-end, although there could always be the fear of holding into the weekend. In that case, today almost felt like a win. Deutsche sees increasing uncertainty for 2008.</li>
