Steven Halpern alone has compiled about <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/category/best-stocks-for-2008/">120 picks</a> from the investment advisors he follows. But plenty of other bloggers have favorites for 2008 to share.</p>
<p>In an effort to consolidate the wealth of ideas into one handy post, here are a few of our bloggers' favorite selections for the year ahead:</p>
<p><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/verisign-inc/vrsn/nas"><strong>VeriSign</strong></a> (NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/verisign-inc/vrsn/nas">VRSN</a>) is the 2008 pick of Georges Yared (check out <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/12/28/top-picks-2007-my-report-card/">how his 2007 picks did</a>). He expects this internet security and domain registry firm to sell off its non-core assets and <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/12/28/best-stocks-for-2008-verisign-the-internets-toll-booth/">grow its core business</a> in 2008. </p>
<p><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/priceline-com-incorporated/pcln/nas"><strong>Priceline</strong></a> (NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/priceline-com-incorporated/pcln/nas">PCLN</a>) is the current favorite of Beth Gaston Moon. It's already had an amazing run in 2007, climbing from about $45 to $120 a share. Looking for a lower-priced stock? Beth recently spotlighted <a href="http://money.aol.com/investing/cheap-stocks-2008">10 Stocks for Under $10</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/deckers-outdoor-corporation/deck/nas"><strong>Deckers Outdoor</strong></a> (NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/deckers-outdoor-corporation/deck/nas">DECK</a>) is a stock I picked <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/11/30/stockwatch-between-the-bells-with-amey-stone/">in a recent video</a>, which Beth likes as well. I think it will continue to surprise to the upside on the strength of sales of its trendy Ugg boots. Zac Bissonnette thinks it will <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/12/22/ugg-sales-stay-strong-how-about-deckers/">no doubt flame out</a> at some point.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/12/28/bloggers-best-stocks-for-2008-verisign-deckers-and-priceline/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Bloggers' best stocks for 2008: VeriSign, Deckers and Priceline rank</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/12/28/bloggers-best-stocks-for-2008-verisign-deckers-and-priceline/">Bloggers' best stocks for 2008: VeriSign, Deckers and Priceline rank</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Fri, 28 Dec 2007 16:19:00 EST. <ul>
    <li><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/healthspring-inc/hs/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">HealthSpring </a>(NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/healthspring-inc/hs/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">HS</a>) was initiated with a Neutral rating and $20 target at Banc of America, as the firm doesn't expect earnings growth to recover until 2009. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li>Rochdale Research started <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/copart-incorporated/cprt/nas?tabs=quotesandnews">CoPark </a>(NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/copart-incorporated/cprt/nas?tabs=quotesandnews">CPRT</a>) with a Buy and $36 target yesterday. The firm said CoPark is in an excellent competitive position and expects growth to re-accelerate as the company integrates and expands its non-U.S. platform. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li>Needham reinstated shares of <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/multi-fineline-electronix-inc/mflx/nas?tabs=quotesandnews">Multi Fineline Electronix</a> (NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/multi-fineline-electronix-inc/mflx/nas?tabs=quotesandnews">MFLX</a>) with a Buy rating and $13 target, as the firm believes the current valuation overly discounts the company's opportunities with Sony-Ericsson (SNE/ERIC), Apple (AAPL), and the likelihood of stability at Motorola (MOT). </li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li>Oppenheimer initiated shares of<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/global-traffic-network-inc/gnet/nas?tabs=quotesandnews"> Global Traffic Network</a> (NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/global-traffic-network-inc/gnet/nas?tabs=quotesandnews">GNET</a>) with a Buy rating and $9.50 target as the firm believes the company's expansion into new territories such as Canada and the UK should enable double-digit revenue and cash flow growth for the long term. </li>
</ul>
<strong>OTHER INITIATIONS</strong>: <br />
<ul>
    <li>Goldman Sachs reinstated shares of <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/qiagen-n-v-common-shares/qgen/nas?tabs=quotesandnews">Qiagen </a>(NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/qiagen-n-v-common-shares/qgen/nas?tabs=quotesandnews">QGEN</a>) with a Neutral rating. </li>
</ul>

</ul>
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/nexcen-brands-inc/nexc/nas?tabs=quotesandnews">NexCen Brands</a> (NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/nexcen-brands-inc/nexc/nas?tabs=quotesandnews">NEXC</a>) was started at Lazard with a Buy rating. </li>
</ul>
