They like her political positions on abortion, taxes, and gun control (limiting the control that is), to name a few. It just shows how many of us will ignore continuing inappropriate behavior if need be, as long as the end justifies the means.

Now that our political leaders have morphed into celebrities like never before -- doing commercials, late night television, radio, musical and comedic cameos and the like -- it looks like the Sarah Palin show can legitimately be accused of "jumping the shark!" ... and then some.

Continue reading Has Sarah Palin jumped the shark -- again?

Has Sarah Palin jumped the shark -- again? originally appeared on BloggingStocks on Sat, 18 Apr 2009 16:40:00 EST. What to do if you're a 54-year-old former world leader, in good health, with Western sympathies? Days of leading a major country are behind you, but you're not ready to pack it in anytime soon. Link up with a major American corporation, of course! Tony Blair, who served as Great Britain's prime minister from 1997 through June of last year, has agreed to join with JPMorgan Chase (NYSE: JPM) in the role of part-time adviser.

The financial terms of the arrangement weren't disclosed, but one Manhattan recruitment consultant estimated in The Financial Times that Blair's fee would likely be more than $1 million a year (though that sum doesn't go quite as far in pounds these days).
Continue reading JPMorgan Chase taps Tony Blair for advice

JPMorgan Chase taps Tony Blair for advice originally appeared on BloggingStocks on Thu, 10 Jan 2008 17:48:00 EST. She goes around to other countries and other nations, negotiates with their leaders, comes back and nothing ever happens."

Well that may be so, Donald, but at least she has better hair than you do.

Donald Trump is increasingly disgusted with the manner in which American government is dealing with the entrepreneurial spirit these days. In consideration of the fact that Mr. Trump is a self made success, I think he has every right to be upset. I believe, however, that the problems associated with growing a successful business from the ground up don't lie strictly within the government. Yes, excessive government causes many small business hardships and we need to deal with that, but I'm seeing an ever increasing volume of personal and social "score settling" being injected into the business world and I, for one, am troubled by it.

Continue reading Trump stomps Rice and I do some stomping of my own

Trump stomps Rice and I do some stomping of my own originally appeared on BloggingStocks on Mon, 04 Dec 2006 13:44:00 EST.
