<p>U.S. <a href="http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/wal-mart-reports-october-sales/story.aspx?guid=%7B476545F0%2D2EEB%2D456A%2D99FC%2D04C66B1E85C4%7D&amp;dist=TQP_Mod_pressN">revenue rose</a> 5% for October hitting $17.4 billion. International was the star, moving up 19% to $7.2 billion. Total revenue moved up 8%. </p>
<p>In the U.S., same-store sales for the Wal-Mart brand were flat for the period. Sam's Club same-store figures rose 2.7%. </p>
<p>The hopes for a holiday turnaround at the world's largest retailer just got a set-back.</p>
