Hence, if you haven't already, now would be a good time to consider taking some profits off the table. <br />
<br />
Further, I'd raise the sell/stop loss to $67 from $64 at this stage. <br />
<br />
However, those investors who can tolerate the risk can maintain their full position and go for an even bigger gain, as SLB is likely to push toward $110 by the end of 2011.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2011/03/18/schlumberger-s-shares-rise/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Schlumberger's Shares Continue to Head North on Oil's Rise</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2011/03/18/schlumberger-s-shares-rise/">Schlumberger's Shares Continue to Head North on Oil's Rise</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Fri, 18 Mar 2011 10:40:00 EST. Shares of oil and natural gas servicer have jet-streamed toward major, psychological resistance at $100, easily clearing $90 on the way. It goes without saying that if you haven't already, now would be a good time to consider taking some profits off the table.</p>

Since then the world has changed dramatically.<br />
<br />
Egypt is engulfed in a civil uprising and protesters are clamoring for President Hosni Mubarak to step down. Uncertainty is the new state of affairs. Uncertainty breeds fear and fear has taken over the energy sector.<br />
<br />
The chart guys quickly covered their shorts and now the bulls have the market. This is fundamental. Three million barrels of oil a day pass through the Suez Canal and the Sumed pipeline. You can throw the charts out the window.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2011/02/01/brent-crude-oil-holds-above-100-per-barrel/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Brent Crude Oil Holds Above $100 per Barrel</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2011/02/01/brent-crude-oil-holds-above-100-per-barrel/">Brent Crude Oil Holds Above $100 per Barrel</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Tue, 01 Feb 2011 10:00:00 EST. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters foresee strong reports from such big names as Apple (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/apple-inc/aapl/nas" class="inlinked">AAPL</a>), eBay (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/ebay-inc/ebay/nas" class="inlinked">EBAY</a>), IBM (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/international-business-machines-corporation/ibm/nys">IBM</a>), General Electric (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/general-electric-company/ge/nys" class="inlinked">GE</a>), Google (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/google-inc/goog/nas">GOOG</a>), Schlumberger (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/schlumberger-ltd-netherlands-antilles/slb/nys" class="inlinked">SLB</a>) and Southwest Airlines (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/southwest-airlines-co/luv/nys" class="inlinked">LUV</a>). And fast on the heels of last week's <a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/story/jpmorgan-earnings-the-return-of-big-bank-profits/19801174/">big earnings beat</a> from JPMorgan Chase (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/jpmorgan-chase-and-co/jpm/nys" class="inlinked">JPM</a>), there will be plenty more results from the financial sector to peruse this week.</p>
<p>Among the financials expected to post double-digit earnings growth this week are Capital One Financial (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/capital-one-financial-corporation/cof/nys" class="inlinked">COF</a>), Morgan Stanley (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/morgan-stanley/ms/nys" class="inlinked">MS</a>), SLM Corp. TYC opened this morning at $38.61. So far today the stock has hit a low of $38.16 and a high of $38.88. As of 11:55, TYC is trading at $38.35 up $1.61 (4.4%). The chart for TYC looks neutral and <a href="http://www.iotogo.com/spoutlookonline" target="_blank">S&amp;P</a> gives TYC a neutral 3 STARS (out of 5) hold ranking.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/08/20/tyco-international-to-be-added-to-sandp-500/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Tyco International to Be Added to S&amp;P 500</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/08/20/tyco-international-to-be-added-to-sandp-500/">Tyco International to Be Added to S&amp;P 500</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Fri, 20 Aug 2010 13:30:00 EST. Friday's non-Farm payrolls growth was the best number in about 3 years for the labor market. Then came strong ISM data today on services. Even pending home sales came in better than expected. That is how traders and investors interpreted today. The Fed raised the discount rate to 0.75% from 0.5% but did not raise the Fed Funds Rate. The Federal Reserve governors were also somehow able to put it into everyone's head that Fed Funds may stay here at the near-zero for some time and that this was part of many steps in an unwinding of the major liquidity events of the last 18 months. We had a very tame CPI report, a welcoming sign after a heated PPI yesterday. So it is just wholesale inflation for now. But a CNBC headline described today perfectly: "Markets Misread Fed's Rate Move as Central Bank Stumbles." <br />

(<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/schlumberger-ltd-netherlands-antilles/slb/nys">SLB</a>) is a stock I've had on my radar screen for a while -- it was first written about <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/05/06/it-will-pay-to-own-schlumberger/">on May 6, 2009</a>. at a price of $56.09 -- and I still like it. Here's why: <br />
<br />
Long-term, Schlumberger "is in the catbird seat," concerning the world's need for more oil. Oil producers, particularly newer clients in emerging markets, will need the more-sophisticated oil services that SLB can provide. Further, a likely oil price of $70-85 per barrel in 2010 will increase oil producer confidence in the feasibility of launching new upstream projects -- another plus for SLB.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/02/09/schlumberger-well-positioned-oil-services-company/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Schlumberger: Well-Positioned Oil Services Company</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/02/09/schlumberger-well-positioned-oil-services-company/">Schlumberger: Well-Positioned Oil Services Company</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Tue, 09 Feb 2010 15:20:00 EST.
