<br />
The problem with the SUVs involved the vehicles electronic stabilizer, which was unable to adequately correct the SUV when sliding out in corners.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/04/29/the-lexus-gx-460-is-back-on-the-market/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>The Lexus GX 460 Is Back on the Market</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/04/29/the-lexus-gx-460-is-back-on-the-market/">The Lexus GX 460 Is Back on the Market</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Thu, 29 Apr 2010 16:00:00 EST. This time the recall involves its Sequoia sports utility vehicle due to concerns regarding the stability control on the 2003 model year. This is the <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/04/17/toyota-recalls-sienna-minivans/">second time this month</a> that the company has recalled some of its SUVs.<br />
<br />
The back's stability control system is supposed to correct a loss of traction in the front or rear tires when the SUV enters a corner. There have been reports that the system activated when the vehicle was moving at slow speed and resulted in drivers not being able to accelerate, and in some cases the brakes coming on and slowing the SUV down unexpectedly.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/04/29/more-recalls-involving-toyota-suvs/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>More Recalls Involving Toyota SUVs</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/04/29/more-recalls-involving-toyota-suvs/">More Recalls Involving Toyota SUVs</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Thu, 29 Apr 2010 09:30:00 EST. What is surprising is that four out of the top five vehicles were imports, and not domestic cars. <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/daimlerchrysler-ag/dai/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">Chrysler's </a>(NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/daimlerchrysler-ag/dai/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">DAI</a>) Jeep Liberty, with 149,605 recalls, was the only domestic in the top 5. Chrysler had three other significant recalls, including the new Dodge Nitro, Jeep Wrangler and Chrysler Sebring. <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/general-motors-corporation/gm/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">General Motors </a>(NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/general-motors-corporation/gm/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">GM</a>) had two vehicles recalled, while <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/ford-motor-company/f/nys">Ford's</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/ford-motor-company/f/nys">F</a>) lone recall was from its Expedition line, and only totaled 10,000 SUVs. <br /><br /><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/toyota-motor-corporation/tm/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">Toyota's</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/toyota-motor-corporation/tm/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">TM</a>) Sequoia hit No. 2 on the recall list, with 533,000 vehicles recalled. This is a surprising improvement from l<a href="http://images.businessweek.com/ss/06/07/recalls/index_01.htm">ast year</a>, where Toyota recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles. <br /><br />The new <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/volkswagen-ag-spons-adr/vlkay/nao?tabs=quotesandnews">Volkswagen </a>(OTC: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/volkswagen-ag-spons-adr/vlkay/nao?tabs=quotesandnews">VLKAY</a>) Beetle took No. 1 on the recall list; triggered by the potential for a brake light switch to malfunction in over 1 million vehicles if it was installed incorrectly.<br /><br />Take a look at <em>BusinessWeek's </em>slide show <a href="http://images.businessweek.com/ss/07/08/0813_recall/index_01.htm">here</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/08/20/auto-recall-list-for-2007-is-suprising/">Auto recall list for 2007 is suprising</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Mon, 20 Aug 2007 16:45:00 EST.
