JockStocks: The Secret to Nike's Success

I remember six years ago when the Beastie Boys released their newest album. It dealt with New York City and what it meant to the group -- hence the title, "To the 5 Boroughs." It seems that athletic shoe and apparel giant Nike (NKE) also will attempt to capitalize on the pride generated in each of the city's five boroughs, as it will release a limited edition line of shoes celebrating each of the boroughs.

These shoes will only be sold in New York, with select stores in each borough receiving the corresponding shoe. A real banner day for the U.S. Treasury auction

U.S. Treasuries rallied on Tuesday as the banking community viewed the details of the bank bailout plan as sketchy. The 30-year bond was up more that three full points ($3,000.00) while the 10-year note was up more than one point ($1,000.00). The ten-year yield dropped to 2.817% down from Monday's 3.0566%

Another boost came from the auction of three-year notes, which had a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.67, up from 2.2.1 in the previous auction. (Bid-to-cover means that there were 2.67 times the bids for the amount of securities offered at auction.)
